I was thinking about buying a willard tip machine but was really wanting a lathe. I have been told I can not find a good quality lathe for the $300-600 range. I want a lathe just to do finishing work persay, mostly tips and if I want replace ferrules. I have seen some lathes for sale that the shaft spins wobbley and very sketchy.. Anyone have one for sale and or advice?

It may be out of your price range but he's a hell of a person to deal with. Plus you never know, you just may come out with a great lathe.

IMO look into a midsize cuesmith, I used one for years doing repairs. Now I have a deluxe and you just can't go wrong with one. Plus Chris give great customer support as well.

I couldnt find one, only a link that doesnt work anymore.

If your new to repairs and never worked with a lathe I agree go with Chris. His videos are great. His customer service is excellent and he is always there to talk you through any problems. Plus a cue lathe comes ready to go you don't have to do any mods or have any tooling to buy. My first lathe was a 7x10 min and I learned the hard way.

I have delt with Todd on many occasions and he is nothing but helpful and willing to answer questions and go out of his way to deliver excellent customer service.
On the same note Chris Hightower is also a great guy and is very helpful as well. Bottom line is you can't go wrong with either product!
