WTB: Tim Scruggs

Thanks Bob,
Any particular reason you would recommend a sly?

$2,000 is more than i'm looking to spend.

Sly makes a great playing cue. Scruggs basic players were over $2,500 when Timmy closed shop.

Here's Some Azers I Recall Had scruggs Cues For Sale

Some other AZers that you might contact via PM are Nick Serdula, Kickin Chicken, Fourkingcues, cue_47 and Cigarman.......I recall seeing they all previousy had Scruggs cues for sale. By the way, Nick is more than just an afficienado when it comes to Scruggs cues. He has the best knowledge of Scruggs cues of anyone that I've encountered.

Thank you so much for the advice.
I will definitely look into that.

Much appreciated.

I have a Scruggs for sale as well. He was right when he said that most of Tim's stuff was already at 2500 when the shop closed. His cues are being bought up real fast and the prices go up every day so if you find a good deal you better jump on it!
Mine is $2300 FIRM shipped if you are interested.

Shaft 1 = 12.96 mm, 3.5 oz, 29"
Shaft 2 = 13.14 mm, 4.0 oz, 30"
Butt = 15.00 oz
Rolls perfect together and apart

Bob

Didn't Leon Sly once work in the Scruggs shop? I know Bob Frey did... but I think I heard that Leon did as well. Anyone know if this is true?

No leon Sly never worked with or for Timi.

Bob Frey was a full partner with Timi. They built all the Cues together. Bob Frey was in part Tim Scruggs Custom Cues. He has alot of the equipment now!!!!!
Nick :)

That is so nice!

This Cue is sweet! I am going to have to start saving up! Only because I just bought another TS yesterday!
Great deal,
Nick :)

But Tim and Mike shared certain cue making knowledge with Leon. Tim sold Leon his old pantograph then Leon bought Tim's c&c shaft machine. Tim gave as he calls Leon" Sly in the family Stallone" many Scruggs inlay templates with his "Tims" blessing to use them in his "Leon's" cues. The guys that got Tim's equipment were Danny Janes, Bob Frey, Cory Barnhart and Leon Sly.

That is a very sweet Scruggs cue. I just bought a new truck for cash $$$. Give me time to recover and it may be mine. I suggest that if SNY really wants a nice Scruggs cue that this is a great choice.
