Hey guys, just finally picked up my first expensive set of cues. I would like to find some type of nice case to store them in. I currently have a predator blak soft butterly case and just want something stronger so as to not take a chance of damaging the cues. I have looked at the It's george cases but prefer to be a little bigger than 2*4 but that isn't out of the questions.

Please post up anything you have and prices for me. Thank you

buy a instroke

i recomend you bye a instroke case for them there well built and protect cue's very well ............. there reason i recomend instroke cases is because a few years ago i was leaving a bar i started talking to a friend set my case behind my car. well when i got threw talking i got in the car but forgot to put the case in the trunk of the car i back over it both tires and forward over it both tires didn't hurt the case much and didn't hurt my cue's at all.. i had a joss west cue , tim scruggs cue and a lomax breck cue in the case none was hurt at all.......... if your wondering why i didn't stop after running over it the first time i was drunk and would have drove off and left case if a friend had not stopped me...... also him and his son stopped me from driving that way to thankgod for good friends and Instroke cases

If you don't mind a vinyl case, I would (and have) gone with the Sterling Wave case. It has John Barton's Ultra Pad interior, huge pockets, great handles, and even straps so you can carry it backpack style. You could get a 3x6 or 4x8. I think Mr.Vmax (that's his AZ name. You can send him a PM) has them. The 4x8 is less than $150 with shipping.

But, someone recommended Instroke and I was the creator of the Instroke cases and their famous protection. Since then I have gone on to creat another company, JB Cases, and to further improve the protection.

We currently offer the most protection available in a hard top-loading style case. You can read about it here, www.jbcases.com/protection.html

And see the interiors here: http://jbcases.com/sizes.html

Hey everyone thanks for the PMS and posts so far. Keep them coming some nice looking stuff just nothing has particularly been EXACTLY what catches my eye. I am looking at the JB and castillo site now. Only question is seems most cases the tip goes first in the shaft part but i hate that because they transfer chalk so bad and dirty the shaft and case. Can the tip go up or is it not thick enough at the bottom for the joint part of the shaft ?

I can help with your first issue. If your case only accepts the shafts tip first. You can easily cover the tips.I picked up some "Chair Leg Protectors" little plastic thingies that fit over the tips (Ace Hardware app. $1.50).I used them till I pulled a tip off removing one, lol.
But that is one way you might try. There are little condom looking thingies that fit over the tip, after you cut the tip off a caulking tube, too.
I prefer tube style cases, obviously. The "cowboy" style that JB makes are great,Castillo, etc

BTW,I put my shafts in my Whitten or Ron Thomas or Centenniel cases joint end first.I am a big fan of Ron Thomas cases, and Whitten is very classy with great protection. Please buy American.Let's keep the $ here in our country, and support our local case builders.Good luck.

In our cases the cues parts can go either direction with ease. You choose how you want to store your cues.

In addition we have invented a removable interior that is not only very cushy and protective but you can take it out and wash it if you like.

Here is a video on a case we did for a customer who wanted 2 interiors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=KOVe953ibM0#t=120s

The above link starts at the new interior segment. You can watch the rest of the video to see all the other features.

Regarding the buy American comments, this comes up with almost every thread like this. I say buy quality regardless of where the case is made. I live and work in China and have a workshop with 14 Chinese people. Because of the lower labor rate I can afford to put more people hours into each case. For you that means I can offer you a case with outstanding quality and practically unlimited customization. And on top of it all not that this matters but I am American, my children are American so you would be supporting Americans if you were to purchase one of our cases.

And the customs agents in America if you happen to live there. As well the American brokers and the support staff who work at the delivery company. And you are supporting the Americans who work at HostGator, my webhosting company. And of course the Americans who own AZBilliards since part of the money made goes to buy my membership.

And, in the interest of global peace you would be supporting my wife, and her mother and father, as well as the families of the 14 Chinese people who work for me.

Or, skip all the emotional nonsense and choose a case based on the quality and choice you get for the money you want to spend.

I simply ask you to look at what we offer and decide if you money not only goes farther but whether you really get a better case or not. If you do that and still decide to go with another brand then at least you chose rationally after comparing all aspects.

And if you don't find what you want with us, here is a list of other makers on our site to choose from, www.jbcases.com/aboutus.html

Thanks JBCASES really appreciate all the help. I have looked a lot of the cases i am not sure I really like the western style. I want something fairly contemporary but don't want a production model like the predator blak cases. I like that style how its nice looking but not necessarily the usual cowboy style of case.

I highly recommend Whitten or Ron Thomas. That's just me.I don't like a top handle.Cleaner look and I rarely used the top handle on the one that I just sold.I repeat, just my opinion.Ron is still making cases, but the arthritis in his hands is really making him want to quit soon.Hope this helps.Happy Holidays.
