WTB 4 x 8 Diamond light or Brunswick light
Hello. I'm getting a Gold Crown 2, 9' table from fellow AZer, chazdillon, soon. Need a good light fixture to go with it. I'd like either a Diamond 4 x 8 or the comparable Brunswick one. I prefer a darker wood color to match the traditional wood rail of a GC 2. I need a used light fixture because the new ones are a bit pricey, especially the Brunswick.
I also have some questions about hanging them. I only have one major large wooden beam 12-15 feet high running dead center the length of the room to tap into, so there won't be four chains hanging from the ceiling, only two, and then I'll Y two chains off of each of those to the four connectors on the light fixtures.
Knowing that, what is the preferred method of hanging these two kinds of lights? I'd appreciate a step by step if you could, tools, hardware needed, I-bolt sizes, size of hole to drill for the I-bolts, etc.
Where exactly should I put the two I-bolts (or whatever bolts I should use in the wood beam), that hold the two main chains hanging from the ceiling beam, to hold either type of light fixture? How far should I space the I-bolts apart so that the two main chains hang down and match up properly with the fixtures? I'd like fairly accurate measurements please.
Oh, almost forgot. I am nearly 6' 5" tall. So, how high off of the bed of the pool table would be the ideal height for the bottom of the light fixture? Don't want to bang my head or my 60" cues into the fixtures.
Thanks in advance for your time and help.
Greg
