Hi Folks,

I'm in need of a used Meucci road agent cue. Shaft(s) must be decent.

They really vary in stain colors, and wrap type, so please post at least one
picture if you have one. I can manage the weight.

I've seen many I like and a many I did not, it all depends on the particular cue.

Thanks!

Road Agent

You might check with Marcus 'Fast n loose', I believe he is selling one on ebay or has one for sale.

thanks, I saw that one, but...

Hi,

Thanks. I am aware of that one on ebay. It looks a nice cue, and possibly one of the
only ones around that is in pristine (or close) condition.

I suspect that the ending price on ebay is going to be more than twice what the price is now.

And, I am looking for one (maybe more) that I can use. It would almost be a shame to
actually use the one that is listed. I've found in the past, when I've been trying to use a
cue that I'm also trying to protect like a fragile eggshell, to avoid *any* scratches, that it
negatively affects my game.

So, a road agent with some existing dings would be more suitable for me at this time.

I'm looking for one that produces the same emotions in me, that a few in the past have.
I first saw one of these used about 20 years or so ago. I was aware of it in the Meucci
catalog, but had never seen one in real life. I went to put a down payment on it, but as
it turns out, they would not let me buy it. It was only in the sales case with price on it,
because someone from Florida left it as collateral until they could pay the pool room owner
what they lost. The guy was late in sending someone up to MA with the money, and the
owner put it in the case, to reinforce his claims to "sell it soon" if he doesn't get his money.

No one expected the laid-back owner (at the time) to be a champion.

cue 1

It's hard to describe my tastes in Meucci Road Agent stains, at both the forearm
and butt locations. I also tend to like the black sealed black wrap, but the sealed
speckled wrap looks better to me on the cue now on ebay.

What I do NOT like, is the color combinations on the newer HOF-6 series. These
seem to almost all be the same, with very pastel colors, starting at a blue down to
a red, with 3 or so distinct color changes. And, the forearms seem to have WAY
too much color differences, and remind me of a vegetable soup or something. :)

I tend to like some of the older and exotic stains like:

another stain color I like

Another stain color I like is in the photo below.

I may end up purchasing more than one also.

an even better example

I tend to like the ones with the brightly saturated colors like this one.

In some, you can almost lose yourself momentarily in the scene.

I'm really glad I found this picture, I thought I lost it.
