Trying to find plastic tubes for butts/shafts for a few case projects but can't seem to find anything suitable here in no-man's land. Any suggestions are appreciated.

For shipping? Atlas has some. IMO the best tube is pvc. Cut some wood caps. Works great..

I'm looking to make some pool cases and need the interior tubes to house the butts and shafts inside the case.

They are PVC tubes, look up John Bartons/JB cases post about case making,I would post a link but don't know how.

Heya Mike,

You are looking for a 40mm inner diameter for the butt and a 26mm inner diameter for the shafts. Generally you would use plumbing tubes for the butt and electrical tubes for the shafts. Both can be found at your local Home Depot or Lowes I believe. Btw, John Barton is THE man in casemaking. He helped me out tremendously when I started making mine. I cant send enough greenies his way for his effort or patience.

Home Depot. Thin wall PVC........1 1/4" for butt sections, 3/4" for shafts.
Line with fabric of your choice.

Can't go wrong with this man's advice. He knows what he's talking about!

Make sure you get the thin wall white colored stuff. It's made for lawn sprinklers and low water pressure stuff. It's not as heavy but plenty strong enough for cues. Both Home Depot and Lowe's carry it.

You'll have to sew cloth lining for it, slide it into the tube, then fold it back over the outside edges to secure. I like plumbers tape because it's strong but I've seen lots of other variations that work just fine.
