Would like to purchase at least 2 preferably undrilled. Thank you.

I know someone who will sell them, 1" long and big enough square for a 14.5mm at 100.00 each. A bit pricey for me but he has sold a number of them.

I always thought that they came in rods but apparently was misinformed. I have this 1" thick plate FR53, check pix, that I got from my uncle when he finally retired and closed his machine shop (40+ years of operation). I have been using it as a cutting board for my leather wraps. Can somebody please check the pix and tell me. The photos include it next to a threaded ivory ferrule and some Ivor-X rod pieces. I've cut a couple of squares from it, after seeing M. Tucker's cue photo with the yellow ferrule, to test it out for ferrules and they're pretty hard hitting.

You'll notice that the stamping on the plate has misaligned numbers which tells me that they were still hand punched thus of very old technology. Are these what you're looking for?

Yes, the much sought after 'yellow Micarta' is FB4.
Contrary to popular opinion, it is not a pheonolic, but rather a
reenforced epoxy based resin.

I had a telephone conversation with the Micarta Product Manager at
Westinghouse's South Carolina facility where Micarta was manufactured
at that time. This was 17 -18 years ago. We talked for maybe half
an hour. He was helpfull, and polite, but conveyed there was no slight
chance the yellow Micarta would ever be made again.

BTW the knife makers were even more broken hearted than cue makers.
