i was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction. im wanting to get a better cue but not sure what to get as i have hardly any experience with a whole lot of other cues. i have shot with a few meuccis and thought the shafts had a bit too much flex for my likeing. didnt like cutec as well. im looking for something around 200 dont care about looks mearly playability. i would say something more "stiff" than the players im used to (hard to say as a "stiff" hit is purely subjective). 2 shafts would be nice but not needed. does anyone on here have anything for my likeing? or could point me towards something...thanks,
jay

In the $200 range I would highly recommend either Joss or Helmstetter.

The Joss in my signature I picked up used for $200 and it is worth every penny and more.

I second Koop on the Joss. If you like stainless steel joint, a low end Viking for $150-200 is a good option as well.

For the money ...

Wanting to spend $200 tops, I don't think you could find a better playing cue than a Shurtz Sneaky Pete. Last I knew, w-to-w was $160, phenolic joint $170, and SS is $190. He probably has some in stock.

Go to http://www.shurtzcue.com

or call 1-316-269-3844 and ask for Bob Owen (Gabe's dad).

Have a look here at the joss www.freewebs.com/spankysbilliards In that price range joss is a great cue to go with definately. Feel free to PM me any questions that you may have. I have several different brands of cues on my site and adding more as each day passes.

Thanks, Mark

I will vouch for Steve (Hunter) as being a stand guy who is a pleasure to deal with.

You will not go wrong with a Joss.
