WTF is wrong with me?

I got to shoot with a predator shaft recently. Before I had the chance, I thought they were a gimmick. While they are not a gimmick, they not an eye opening experience either. I really liked it, and would like to get one. I see this Predator cue by Mezz, the Tora.
I have a nice Jacoby cue, and I'am happy with it. I just got a new -R-. Ivory, elephant, etc. I know how I get when I want something. Is this the initial stage of collectionitis?

Or course they are eye opening..... new equipment in sports has been going on for hundred or so years. The bottom line is there are now 2 kinds of shafts, standard maple and LD, and folks pick the one they like best. but a gimmick, hardly...

Yes it is! Next will be night sweats and constipation.There is no cure but sure is
fun....and a tad expensive:)
 
Do what I did. Put an LD shaft on your custom cue and never look back. Now you have the best of both worlds. Helps me run out too! ;)
 
to each his own. I played a little with my friends new road line last month and I've honestly never played with cue that felt more dead then that. lol no feedback at all . I'll keep my lambros

That's another cue I like.
 
Get Lambros instead, you will not regret it, but might regret getting Predator in few weeks or months
 
That's the problem, there's a heard of cues that would be a better choice, and I still keep looking at it.

Yes sir. I'm good with how I play, could always be better of course.
I understand a better hammer doesn't drive a straighter nail.
I am not an accessory person. I don't wear a glove. I don't need "my" stick to play.
If I know I am going by a place with a table, and I'm running errands I'll just stop in and play a quick one with whatever.
I'm not a hoarder. I don't know what's going on.

There's nothing wrong with hobbies or collecting,or just trying to find the
right cue for you.Problem is,it can take years to find that special one.
There's lots of pros still on that search.I remember reading a article that
said the Dennis Orcullo went through 8 or 9 different cues in one event
and ended up borrowing one at the end and won the event.
I don't think there's a magic wand but if you can find a cue that you feel
does 90% of what you want,then keep it and really work on that other 10%.

I thought about that too, am I not happy with what I got so subconsciously I tell my self it's just collecting if I buy another. I think probably 20% of the people on this forum have more than one cue. This next one would put me at three, and that's not bad.

Haha,no man 3 is fine.You know its gone to far if your cue case
becomes half your body weight.Once you do find that cue,for God sakes don't
sell it no matter what the profit is.Many of done is and many regrets to follow.
With all the wood in my cue cases I could probably build a canoe.

I did that. I had a Huebler I wish I still had.

Um, no... I wish! I only own 1 Black Boar. I also have 2 Mali cues, a phenomenal Schon full of ivory, a Samsara, a Mezz, a Predator steel joint sneaky, a Predator BK3, a high end Prather, and a conversion made from house cue parts (joint and ferrule are Prather) for seedy bar play. I also own 5 cases - 2 are J. Flowers, 1 Philip Tieau custom, an Action, and a Viking 1x1 for the bar cue...
