WTF? my thread deleted but this "Sticky" ^^^ is ok?

Maybe I am wrong, but wouldn't the best place for info like you want be from each manufacturer?

To answer your question, no...the manufacturer is not a good source of info to learn from, reason being...in some cases they're also the ones manufacturing the pool tables that need changed or improved upon, and most manufactures only build the cabinets of the tables, then send them out to the customers for mechanics to come along and assemble. A field mechanic has way more knowledge about most tables than any manufacture does because not only do they have to be able to fix some problems caused by the manufacture, but they also have to follow behind other mechanics and what they've done to the pool tables.

Case in point, manufactures install particle board for the slate liners, but they don't have to deal with their own cheap shit when it come to trying to install the bed cloth on a slate that the slate liner had fallen apart...if they had to actually go out and fix this little problem they've created....they'd change the choice of wood used as a slate liner:mad:

Another case in point, if Delmo had cared enough to put some quality in the rails they built, I wouldn't have had to rebuild the Delmo rails I did rebuild that I posted pictures of in the main forum...and maybe Delmo would still be in business today;)

So in other words you shouldn't listen to anything Dimaond has to say, Really, I think some manufacturers have alot to contribute, of course what do I know.
