NOT LOOKING FOR TRADES AT THIS POINT.

The Fisher has been my daily player for the last 3 years and I love it but it is time to move on.

The HSU is brand new and hasn't been chalked at all. Specs, pics, and prices for both cues are below:

Wrapless Bryan Fisher with two shafts
Weight: between 19.2 and 19.5 ish depending on shaft (don't have a scale to weigh but last time I checked it was right around there)
Forearm and butt are ebony with a beautiful olivewood handle. Very nice figure in olivewood.
Capped Ivorine joint and dash rings
Buttplate is white phenolic (i think). I had the butt plate replaced as there was a small crack in it and I'm pretty sure it was replaced with phenolic.
Black G-10 pin
Shafts are 12.4mm and 13mm (black ferrule). Both shafts have kamui black medium tips
One shaft has a melamine ferrule and the other has a black ferrule. Not sure of material but I don't think it is phenolic.

I am looking for $500 for the fisher.

Open to $ offers on both cues. Open to trade offers on the Fisher, I am selling the HSU for my Uncle but I have the cue in my possession and he's not interested in trades.

I would be interested in a Mezz PB2, BK3, or a BK2 + a little cash.

You really need to improve your pics, John ;)

I bought a Hsu from John and it is so much better looking in person than in his pics :grin-square: I think this Hsu is even prettier.

Another price drop!!!

I am still looking for 400 or trade offers on the Fisher. This is a good deal for a custom Bryan Fisher with two shafts.

I can drop the HSU to 400. This is what my Uncle paid for it two years ago and he just wants his money back out of it.

Thanks for looking,

John

Any takers at 300 for the Fisher? I just want it gone before I start shooting with it again.

The butt plate replacement was completed by an old local cuemaker that does cue repair and runs a proshop in my area. It is top notch and looks just like it did before the butt plate was replaced.

Any better pics of the Hsu cue?
Is there a weight bolt on the cue?
What is the tip size(mm) of the Hsu shaft? Thanks

An owner or two later, I have purchased the Hsu cue above

Not much to add to the title: I had sold my Joss and then later my Schon and was basically cueless (clueless?) and not playing for a while, but now I've retired and moved to Atlanta and was in the market for a good cue for less than $500 if possible. I saw the custom Hsu cue pictured above at what I considered a fair price and based upon comments I found in this forum, decided to go with that. It is the exact same cue based upon details of the wood grain and signature etc. So far I'm delighted with the cue. Then tonight I purchased a Champion brand cue with two shafts on Amazon that comes with a hard 2x2 case. I plan to only use one of the two shafts and store the extra, then use the case to hold my Hsu and the new Champion. Generally, I like to have a main cue for shooting and a less expensive cue for breaking and using with the mechanical bridge. I believe that not breaking with your premier cue saves the tip. As for the mechanical bridge: my theory is that they create dings when the shaft rises after contact on a follow shot and then snaps back down onto the bridge. In any case, I'm planning to start playing regularly again now and have discovered a local pool hall, Mr. Billiards 2, that offers free pool from 12--3 pm if you purchase lunch. The food wasn't bad on my first visit, so for $7 I ate and played for a few hours. So far I'm making the hard impressive cuts and missing the most basic shots, but I'm out of practice and assume things will perk up with regular practice. Love my Hsu! Althair
