I have a 3 month old Spitz cue for sale or trade.
I'd prefer showing pictures first before going into specs, so here it is:
Joint Protectors by Jim Baxter with original ringwork provided by Spitz:
Please note that all pictures above are taken 3 months ago, Butt is still pristine as per new, however shafts and ferrule has shown light sign of play and i'm just being picky and honest. I believe a good cleaning can bring it back to it's former glory since it's since only about 2 months of play. I will take some up to date photos shortly.
Specs & Details of Cue:
This is a full splice davis blank converted by Jon Spitz.
It's a beauty and the Zebra wood is just amazing. This cue plays very good and i was amazed with it when i got it. This was my player for a good 2.5months until i was diagnose with Stage 3 Cuetitilitis....it's a form of cue addiction and medical science has yet to find a cure for it...there are several kinds of medication that can surpress this disease but the most commonly known ones are Visa, Master and AMEX. I'm not trying to appeal to sympathy here to sell my cue so i shan't discuss my condition further.
With the above said, my "illness" has led to an controllable buying spree and has landed me with quite a few new cues and one currently in the mail on the way here. I have another 3 coming in the next few months as well so i figured it's time i move on and let this cue go with much reluctance.
Like i said, this is a fine playing cue. Only selling because i know i have more coming and i gotta spread the love trying the others out. Of which one of the cues coming up also features a Davis blank thus this decision.
Here are specs of the cue that I got from Jon's description plus some changes:
- Full Splice Cue
- Straight grain hard maple forearm
- 4 Zebrawood points w/ black/maple/black/maple Veneers
- Brown with Black Spec Linen
- Zebrawood buttsleve
- Double black Linen joint colar and buttcap
- Brass Modified 3/8-10 .308 flat minor dia.
- 24 Ebony index slot rings with brass accent rings @ all positions
- *Naturally weighted* No weight bolt * just the joint pin.
- Butt weight 15.3oz. 29" long.
- 2 Shafts @ 13mm and 12.8mm(Pictured Below)
- Juma Ferrules and fitted with Kamui SS and New G2 Soft Tip from Japan (Used by Dennis Orcullo)
- Signed Spitz '11
- Bought cue for $1200.
As mentioned, cue is extremely new and has been well taken care of thanks to JB Cases. Only signs of use are on shafts and ferrule which can be cleaned out easily. There is a slight dent on the Forearm of the Butt as pictured below. This was caused from shipping and there's nothing much i can do about it. Besides this the Butt is as good as new.
Ding on Forearm.
I am looking to sell at reasonable offers, but i know the market is bad so trading would do fine too as that helps with my Cuetitilitis. I can top up cash where required too. Only custom cues need apply.
Please PM me or drop me a mail at jive.ong@gmail.com if you have pictures of cue to send me.
Additional Reference Info:
This is the original thread posted by Jon to sell this cue. Note that this cue was originally a wrapless but i had that changed by Jon before shipping.
