Well, one thing for sure....it's not the same cue you saw a year ago.....that cue was the 19th cue Nitti made in 2012 and this specific cue for sale was made this year and is the 28th cue Chris made in 2013. This is a design Chris has made before and continues to produce through today.
In any event, I wouldn't knock anyone's thread price and if you are serious about being interested in the cue, you're better off discussing it with Qtrader via PM but not on the Forum. He explained his pricing and you may not like what he wrote but maybe think you can get a better price. Well, you sure won't get that writing a post like you did. If I were the seller, I wouldn't even respond to your post. If you are serious and think if you made a cash offer right now, maybe the price would improve....it won't using the Forum section as a communications media. Do you think the seller is going to drop the price because you browsed his thread and asked how low he would he go?
I also admire this cue and the seller and I were never on the same page about price but we weren't worlds apart either. It's a really handsome cue and I resisted to pull the trigger because the cue weight is not what I am looking for as all my cues, except my Runde Schon, play under 19 ozs. Qtrader is a stand -up AZer based upon what I've seen on the Forum and if you approach him privately, you may be able to find success but in my opinion, not much chance otherwise when you explore/discuss a lower sales price in public view on the Forum boards.
