WTT: Breedlove Acoustic Guitar for Cue or Case - New Pics

This seemed to work out well in the reverse for 'hangemhigh', so, I thought I would see what kind of offers I would get on this. :)

I have available a basically brand new Breedlove AC200/SM 6-string acoustic guitar, with very high quality gig bag, that I might like to trade for either a nice cue or nice case...a nice Thomas 2x4 or a Justis Pro-Lite 2x4 in Mahogany would be ideal! :yeah:

The guitar has very, very little time on it...likely less than 12 hours of play. I am a better pool player than guitar player. :embarrassed2: Here are the specs, as per the Breedlove website:

Body Style: Concert with No Cutaway
Body Depth: Deep, 4 9/16"
Width at lower bout: 15"
Scale Length: 25.5"
Nut Width: 1 11/16"
Neck width at body: 2 1/8"
String spacing at saddle E-E, 2 1/12"
String gauge: Light
Finish: Satin
Top Wood: Solid Sitka Spruce
Back: Mahogany Ply
Sides: Mahogany Ply
Binding: Black Binding
Rosette: Abalone w/ black border
Nut and Saddle: Micarta
Frets: Standard
# Of Frets: 20
Fingerboard and Bridge: Rosewood
Inlay Pattern: Dots
Headstock Overlay: Rosewood
Tuners: Chrome
End Pin: Ebony
Electronics: N/A

Retail pricing on this guitar is $669.95. Steve Henderson started Breedlove after leaving Taylor Guitars. When compared to the Taylor 314 I had, I think the voicing in this guitar is much sweeter and clearer. While the above specs say it is a Concert body, it is actually more like a the Taylor Grand Auditorium in size...not at all like the smaller Concert body most would think of.

Included is the optional Breedlove heavy-duty gig bag, which retails for $109.95. This is without a doubt, the best made/highest quality gig bag I have ever seen! Has ergonomically designed backpack straps, and has harder, reinforced sides, so it can stand on it's own, and heavy padding all around. Plenty of storage space included in the large over-sized pockets.

I still have the original Breedlove shipping box as well, so it would be very well protected during shipment.

Total retail value for the trade would be $779.90. I will NOT separate the guitar and gig bag, so please do not ask.

I would be interested to see what offers I might get, with regards to a straight trade. :D Note: I forgot to add that there are a spare set of new D'Addario Flat-tops strings and a basically new Korg electronic tuner included in the gig bag. There are likely some nice picks in there too. :)

Thanks...it really is. Interest appears to be low, however. It's cool, tho...it will not hurt my feelings to keep it either.

Maybe this will help. Breedlove started as a custom guitar shop...very high end stuff....pricier than many cues....drop dead gorgeous woods. They later saw potential to compete with Taylor's line of guitars. Extemely well made guitars, with some unique innovations in bracing and pinless bridges.

I am really quite surprised that more of the guitar aficionados on AZ have not heard of this company. :thud:

Lisa does this model have the truss rod?

I believe it does, as they sent me a truss rod key, I will check it out to be sure, but I believe it is accessible from inside the guitar's body, at the point where the neck bolts to the body, rather than from the back of the base of the headstock/top of the neck, like my old Taylor.

I will try and post the response by the morning.

Okay, it was as I thought, truss rod is adjustable, from inside the body:

Additionally, these guitars are made with the JLD adjustable bridge truss:

Like I said...it's a very nice guitar...not fancy, but it'll definitely get the job done nicely...kinda like a great sneaky pete. :D

i have had some very nice and interesting offers so far...thank you!

Since I am getting offers more toward cues as opposed to cases...I thought I should mention that my cue preference is towards full splice cues...with or without veneers...so yes, that does mean 'fancy sneaky petes'. :) Preferably wrapless. Not sure yet, but might be able to squeeze a little extra cash into the deal, if necessary.

Thanks again for looking!
