Hi guys, quick question. I had my table recovered with Samonis cloth. I am now noticing what I first thought was shadowing against the rail side that was stretched but there is nothing to shadow like this. It is showing distinct lines coming out from the rails and this was on the side that was stretched. the table was covered about a month ago and I am just now starting to see these lines. Has anyone else had this trouble and what to do about it?
Also, what does every body feel is the best sort of table lighting? Just curious. Thanks all.

My opinion, and I think plenty others will agree is that Diamond makes the
best lighting, and there are no shadows.
If you have never played on a table with Diamond lighting you should contact
Diamond Billiards and find a room that has bought from them in your area
and go check it out.
In the mean time check this out www.diamondbilliard.com/accessories/light.aspx

Just a couple of caveats on the Diamond light box (basically a large rectangular light box that is just about the exact size of the playing surface of the table). The large, translucent, plastic grill that covers the light is like a giant waffle iron. My friend cleaned his and it is a huge mess of water spots. I would check with Diamond and see if they have any solution for cleaning the grill - it looks impossible to clean. In addition, if you are tall (above 6'2") you may find yourself hitting yourself in the head on the large box (the ex-basketball players I play with do not want to play on a table with the Diamond lights - it hurts). Masse' shots are not possible with this light unless you have someone push the box to the side while you shoot. I personally prefer the simple 4 globe lights on a bar above my 9 footer. I do think the Diamond provides slightly better lighting (though just slightly).

Sounds like these lights per not installed properly.
Diamond lighting should be well above the table.
where I play a 7' person would not be close to having head clearance problems.

Not sure what you mean but is it just on one side? Is it wavey? Like they stretched it unevenly?
As for the Diamond lights....they are great but high! With a little figureing and some 8' light fixtures you can make one alot cheaper. Unless you wanna spend over 500 for a light fixture.
