i was on about 5 each time these came up, not just tricky to make but tricky to make and keep the balls close

The first looks like you might be able to play from the red to the long rail without a kiss. I'd have to see it on the table to be sure. If that doesn't work, you could play thin on yellow and reverse the corner.

The second is a problem. How about follow straight through the near ball to hug the cushion? No easy position but the shot not hard.

That seems like the most popular of shots on the second shot, and it brings the red around to hold position,

Also has been suggested a ticky, long short yellow red, but that seems like a hard shot given the white up against the rail
