Last night Yang posted on Facebook he would return to play if his post have more than 1000 'likes' within time frame of about 12 hours, but later reduce to 500. He later deleted the post by accident but have decided to start playing again, that post hits 700+ 'likes' in 13 hours. He have only 2100+ facebook friends till date , good news to his fans.

Great to see him back. I think he got real upset when he never won the WPC and he was favored at least 2x-first or second favorite.

I saw him once in the States at the Big Apple Classic. He played Efren in the semis. I think it was Effie who jumped out to big lead but Yang caught him on the hill and Effie ran to the 7 last game and then Yang gave him the last 2 balls-they shook hands and Effie went to play the last 2 balls and missed the 7 in the side on purpose. Then with everyone still watching him he crazy banked the 7 somewhere and then cut the 9 the entire length of the table center pocket. The crowd went crazy.

I was there for that too, at (the former) Master Billiards.

I was sitting next to Mike Fusco and he was actually unfamiliar with Yang. I was telling Mike that I had a chance to watch Yang play, years before, in Taiwan. After the first rack of the Efren Yang match, I left, saying "Watch my boy play...". Afterwards, I caught back up with Mike and asked him; "So, what didja think?" Mike made that furrowed brow/pursed lips face that sez "whew!"

This made it to online news, try using a translator program see if it make any sense to you.

here's a brief translation:

Yang had been joking around with Wu in facebook, and said that if there were more than 1000 likes on his post, then he would rejoin the scene (as what poolnoob had posted).

After receiving more than 1300 likes, he said "This is a 'miracle' that im looking for (that he actually received more than 1000 likes), given by all of you (his fans). I will keep my promise and start anew (his comeback).

He also said "The number of likes has greatly exceeded my expectations, and once the number was past 500, I knew what my 'future goal' would be-that from now on, I will not easily give up the 'stage' that I love, and which was part of my life."

Lastly, he said "I feel that my biggest achievement (satisfaction) is not being champion, but rather (knowing) that you all (referring to his fans) like to see me play pool, and for me that is enough."

He is in Shanghai now.

Clarification -Not playing out of Shanghai but here at the moment
