Would someone tell these announcers that his first name is pronounced ' Aloo-ishus' and not 'Alosius'?? That GeorgeT. dude wears me out. He tries so hard to perfectly pronounce every name and yet he butchers Yapp's name every time.

When I played Yapp he introduced himself like “aloy-shus”. Agreed about George…

When my buddy met him in Vegas a couple yrs ago he said it was 'aloo-ishus'. WTH?? I guess they've butchered it so often he's just going with it.

Not that my name is all that difficult, but it does get mispronounced often. Eventually you simply stop caring, especially if it's inconsequencial
 
Georgie has been awful since day one. The English dude needs to be deported. The sad part is they have completely rubbed off on Tone who's commentary is dropping fast. :oops:

Its the set up. The table that Ernesto leveled played perfectly based on what i saw. The one's done by the Predator guys and their carpenter levels were a joke. I've got a friend who's out there and he's said some look to roll perfect and others not so. Its obvious its all in who's doing the work. ANY table will play like a pos if not done correctly.

My last name is difficult to say correctly, plus there is family debate in witch way is correct.

Personally do not care, close is ok, those who not pick.

Must have iLife.

Agree. Such steady player with great mental game. Even though he probably made more mistakes in the final than in whole of his fantastic US Open run last year. :LOL:
 
Don’t forget about “Efrum” lol. Drives me nuts on those old matches.

I would like it if all these commentators just decided to go with Aloo-wishus, regardless of the mans parents intentions lol. It’s more like al-UH-wishis in my mind.

Aloy-z-us and aloy-shus just don’t sit well in my ear. A great player regardless. I was surprised at the misses in the final, you know someone’s great when a miss is surprising
