This is a Kingwood forarm/buttsleeve with brown phenolic buttplate and joints with maple ring at joints and butt. This one will get a wrap of irish linen to complete it. 1st coat of clear on , almost ready.
Thanx for looking,
Jim

I think you used a really nice piece of curly maple for the handle. Why if it's getting a wrap?

The hit. I was after a very solid hit with this cue. The handle was chosen due to it's density. Other times I have gone after a solid hit I have used purpleheart as the handle and wrapped over it. To me they play good and solid 1st , then if your lucky , the look nice as well. All depends on the wood grain.
Thanx,
Jim

Poolrod,
I am thinking of adding a lizzard wrap to this cue , what do you think?
Thanx ,
Jim
If I had to wrap this cue, I would try to get as close to the joint color as possible, that way everything on the cue looks sweet. Thank you. poolrod.
