Hello fellow pool enthusiasts! The WPBA is in fact one of the longest running billiards organizations in the world! With a new Board of Directors, it has begun a journey slated to add many more tour stops and to bring the entire organization more into the present-day billiards atmosphere.

Naturally, its goal is to boost and enhance our industry with all the top women players in the world, to promote a greater image of pool, and to provide a means for fans to engage with them!

It never stopped. We just had a couple of really lean years with only 1 or 2 tournies. They are building more now and already have a number in the works!

What is culprit that caused the "lean years"? What recent years did the WPBA have a healthy tour? I remember seeing the women on ESPN all the time back in the 2000's...what happened? I'd like to see more WPBA and pool in general!

Duddy was on the WPS stream this past weekend at Steinway and said something like they were working on 9 event contracts. Whether or not that is a full event or those smaller RTC events who knows. I'll believe it when I see it.
 
Is it just me or is it a little funny for someone to ask for assistance anonymosly? :rolleyes:

six months old

jojo has posted three times, two of those times in this thread six months ago. Somehow I don't think they are doing any red hot promoting of the WPBA!

I wish the group luck but they are going to have to put some effort into making their own luck just like everyone else.
