Is there a way to save any of the videos on the You Tube pool area to your computer?

You need Firefox and greasemonkey. Greasemonkey allows Firefox to run scripts.

Then go here and install this script

You will need an FLV player but that is easy to find

You can register with youtube and then save them to you "favorites" folder. It doesn't cost anything. Youtube rocks! It's my favorite new website.

Here's a tutorial you can look thru.... a search with something like

An easier way to access your favorite videos is to go to the one you want and while the page it is on is loaded, go up to the address bar, and drag the red icon/URL to your desktop or a folder on your desktop and it will save the URL so you can access it anytime you are online.

You can rename it to something more recognizable if you want to.

yeah you can access the url anytime..but if youtube removes that video from their server then the url is useless...best to save the video to your comuter
