Are there any young players who are also instructors, or at least looking to get into teaching?
There seems to be a gap in the market here...

I have certified several instructors in their 20's and 30's all across the country. What does the age of the instructor have to do with anything?
I don't know if the OP meant this, but if the majority of instructors are up there in age, it won't be long until there won't be any more instructors to fill the void after they retire.

Even if age is not really a problem- things needed are knowledge in several directions and expirience- and all of these you can earn in early stages/ages.
But the gap (in my opinoin) comes from that the most younger players are still *just players*-- once oyu really start to just instruct you will have a time problem with your *own table time*![]()
I would think older instructors may feel tremendously uncomfortable around young players, wouldn't you Scott?
Just the other day, I heard that Dave Sapolis is one of the best instructors under the age of 30.
Not at all Tim. Your answer sounds like a bad stereotype. It depends on the quality and depth of your communication skills. I teach people from 6 to 86, male and female, quite successfully. Of course I use different language with different generation players. I'm sure randyg feels the same way.

I would love to teach people to play pool, but first I have to learn to play and then learn to teach....
