Going back to the beginning, all the way till the most recent, what is your favorite DCC after hours match, and why?

Second, who would you like to have seen match up, and what would they play?

All my favorites would go back to the Executive West. The one I'll pick was Kucharo and Bennet. I think that was the only time I got to watch Kucharo play. The woofing was so much better back in those days. It was amusing just watching matches get set up. Memories of Daulton, McCready, Hagar Jr., Watson, Frost, Chohan, Lil John, Chamat, Greg, Barger, who could forget Durbin. There were always after hours matches to be watched.

Josh Filler vs JL Chang 10ball race to 17, 2019 Derby. It began at about 1:00 AM on Friday, with both already eliminated from the 9ball. When I chatted the next morning with Jeremy Jones, he called it some ogF the best 10ball he had ever seen played.

Filler won 17-14, avenging his loss to Chang in the Bigfoot final earlier in the week. I believe the bet was $3,000.

One of my favorite memories was Dennis Orcollo Playing the Ghost on the 10 footer. Happened to be there when his backer and the other GAMBLER posted the the cheese. We heard $5000 each but did not count the money. It was 8 ahead BET. My friend and I chatted with some railbirds and also overheard Mike Dechaine commenting that Dennis is stealing. This is where I was taught the value of soft break. This gaf bet was over before it started. He only failed to get out 2 racks and Well the rest is cha Ching. Might not be what OP was looking but was and education for this ole man

I don't know whether either of them ever made it to Derby City, but I'd loved to have seen any high stakes gambling matches involving either the late Cole Dickson or the late Denny Searcy.

Karl Boyes vs Oscar in 10 ball. Boyes put on a clinic. Incredible 10 ball break, and ran out from everywhere.

Filler vs Shannon Murphy in bank pool.

Up until last year, I think I missed two years of the Derby. And for much of that time, I was the committee head for the Louie Roberts Award.

My most memorable matches:

Cooney vs Walden - One Pocket (10 ahead)

Grady vs Stalev - One Pocket, Grady says he’ll play til he’s busted

Grady vs The Roadman (One Pocket 20-10, lights went out)

Frost and ??? (The cleaning crew don’t care)

Bobby Pickle vs Jason Kirkwood (beer and more beer on the barbox )

Shane vs Pagulayan (the start of a rivalry)

Shane vs Cliff Joyner (Cliff surprisingly dominating 8-ball)

Efren vs Cliff (One Pocket, Efren shows he can give anyone 9-7)

Orcullo vs Chris Bertram - 8-ball, Dennis showing the world what the rumors were all about

Daz vs Bartam - I believe at least 10-ahead 9- ball or 10-ball. Really one of the early sessions that Darren defined the type of elite player he would be.

Shane vs Efren 10-ball, beating his idol

Shane vs Bustamante 10-ball, Bustamante just a stud, redeeming the PI

Scooter vs Frost - the hand span spot

Corey Deuel vs a lot of people - the bridge spot

Filler vs Chang - the battle of the current best (though Chang just got a new tip put on)

Carl Bolm vs Scooter (and others) $40k/game barbox 9-ball, Carl getting the break (with a designated breaker) and half the rack.

I have to add:

Sarah Rousey vs Monica Webb I ran to my room and by the time I came back, Sarah had already won both the one hole and the banks. Big Nasty started calling her Sarah “Bumper” Rousey. Monica looked magnificent winning the 10-ball set.
