Your Follow Thru

Hi Keith, I had a question to ask you about following thru.

Recently I watched a video of you playing Mark Tadd in the '93 LA Open. I noticed that on all of your shots, you didn't take a very long backstroke, but you followed thru very, very far, it seemed like to the joint of your cue. It was beautiful to watch, because you had the cueball on a string, and you never really had to hit a ball hard. Everything was soft or medium speed, and you always stayed in line. I think the only reason Mark beat you was because he saw the one more often after the break. My question to you is, does the length of someone's backswing matter to have a good stroke? Or is following thru alot the most important? I've noticed many variations of players, some have very long backswings and slightly shorter follow thru, and some players have short backswings and very long follow thru, some have both of them short, and some have both of them long. What do you think about this? Can someone have a really good stroke with a short follow thru, or a super long backstroke?

That's a really good question LastTwo. I want some details also... i might switch to the short back swing/long follow through, from the average back swing to 3-6" (depending) follow through i have now...

Thanks,

Jon

Last Two, great question. Let me provide an answer to you after seeing that video of L.A. Open. If you have any info on where I can buy a copy of that video, I'd appreciate it! :)
