Your Opinion Of Dcc's Diamond Tables

Correct me if i am wrong. I have only played on a few Diamonds and have noticed one major difference; The rail (cushion) high seems higher. Is this true? Every time I had a shot where the CB was tight on the rail I mis-cued over the top of it. Of course I am comparing this to Gold Crowns and Olhausens that I place exclusively on mine or friends houses and the pool hall where I shoot league.

Other then that the banks seem just right as a result. Very responsive.

Diamond pockets 'can get the balls real dirty'

I bought my diamond professional 4 years ago and had it installed by a Diamond technician. I have been surprised at how marked up the balls get. I heard from Gregg who offered to help me but it sounds like I will need to start hitting the balls a lot softer in hopes of reducing the markings.

My problem to fix. Very unhappy. They told me to use WD 40 to remove
the crap off the balls and then told me to use paint thinner to clean up the pockets themselves.

I guess I will finally have to try and negotiate some way of getting new pockets to be installed at my expense.

Ball Marks from Diamond Tables

At first glance Diamonds have 5 rail bolts per rail were brunswick uses 3 bolts evenly spaced about were the diamonds are.

The more rigid the rail the truer the bank less movement more accuracy.

Try what John said earlier keep your balls and table clean it will bank true again. Keep a cover on the table at all times when not in use Sunlight breaks down all rail rubber from the uv light I think all rubber is made from a pertroleum based material.
Craig, based on what you're saying, I'm wondering if Diamonds actually bank more true, whereas GCs actually bank long? I've heard it said many times that Diamonds bank short, but maybe it's that other tables actually bank long, due to less rigid rails?

Doc,
You have a valid point and I like the way you think!

Personally I prefer Brunswick's table for banking ,IMHO they come off the rail at a truer angle, for awhile i was playing on a diamond table, went back to Brunswick and had to make a adjustment (serious adjustment)
