your opinion of nicks edge shaft cleaner

Funny story, I called the distributor and a woman answered. I told her I was interested in possibly carrying this product and she said let me get Nick he can help you out. So I chat with this guy for about 10 mins when I realize I'm talking to Nick Varner. What a down to earth nice guy. I seriously about crapped my pants, I remember reading billiard mags as a kid and seeing Nick freakin Varner on ESPN. It was cool, at any rate the product works great and I have some in my case, but I don't sand shafts anymore.

I've been using these papers occasionally for over 25 years. Your shaft needs to be fairly clean before using. I've always used windex with them. They are a plastic sheet so you use them once and then clean them off for next use. They last a very long time and the grit is so fine that any material removal would be extremely minimal.

Great product which I thought everyone new about.

My personal preference is to take 2 Q-Wiz's and rub the abrasive sides together in order to knock down the abrasive. Then they are perfect. the one side cleans and you can burnish with the leather side.

For the most part I just use pure leather with the suede side for cleaning and the finished side for burnishing. No abrasive whatsoever so you can use it all you want without fear of damaging your shaft.

I use them if my shaft gets sticky, they work like a charm. I use q wiz for general maintenance, nicks to get the perfect shine on my shafts :)
