As pointed out, there may be different definitions of "collector cue". I have a nice selection of full splice cues, mostly from folks who splice their own (Prather, Gracio, Blackcreek, Bear, as a few examples). None are terribly expensive as far as custom cues go. Part of the motivation is to see the various craftsmens work, experience their cues in play, and to have a wall full of beautiful hardwoods. They are all in the racks by my table, and all get played. When friends come by they can use them too.
