Your Success

Jenn, Congrats on your strong finish in Florida. I 've noticed that you've had limited success in tournament play for some time. I've also noticed that you have had much better results in the last few months. Is there any one thing that you can attribute that to or do you think it's "just your time"
Anyway, I hope to see you do better still!

Hey Rided9,

I can't really pin my recent successes on one thing. I think that years of practice, great coaching and tournament experience is finally coming together. It all happens in stages...first I started succeeding in local leagues, then I started succeeding in WPBA qualifiers and now the final step is success in professional events.

Hi Jenn,

Congrats on your tourney finish in Florida! Great to see your hard work pay off. Do you have any rough idea when your matches will be televised?

Best regards,

Steve

Hey Steve,

According to the WPBA website, quarterfinal 1 (me vs. Karen Corr) will air on Jan. 4 at 5pm and semifinal 1 (me vs. Julie Kelly) will air Jan.6 at 4:30. If anything changes, and I know about it, I'll post it.

Jenn

Thanks Jenn!

Hope this is the first of many times we get to watch ya play on TV! It's been the "Allison and Karen Show" a little too long now. What kind of track record do you have against Ally? How about Jeanette? Take care, and come out and play in Phoenix sometime. It's in the high seventies today. Not bad for Christmas weather...

Hey Steve,

I've played Karen about 7 times in WPBA events, but this is the first time I've beaten her. I played Allison once and lost badly, and I played Jeanette once and won. It's funny how in a field of 64 there are women I've never played, and women I've played 10 times.

Jenn,

Well i dont know how you did in this tournament, but obviously its been your best performance to-date, which is kewl :) And i do think its kewl to get New faces in the finals of a event.

I have seen more events lately that has different faces in the finals, but, you still have Allison and Karen, or Jeanette there also. But on the other side to that, the ladies who are making the show, are also putting in the time and have the skills to be there everyday.

But that also doesnt take away from the other ladies on the tour, like Sarah, or Megan, and Jenn and Vivian, and countless other ladies who put in hours of practice and playing.

And Jenn also has a point about stuff finally comming together, IE playing leagues, tournaments, i mean its only a matter of time before everything lines up and you finally step back and go,,,, OHHHHHH i like this lol.

But you can also take any person that you know, and if they practice and play twice as much as they do now, and get taught different stuff about the game, they are obviously going to be 100% better in 6months.

later Dave,,,, P.S. congrats JEN!!!!!

Thanks Dave,

Your statement is very true, but one of the key ingredients to significant improvement is desire. If you really want something and you are willing to work hard and make sacrifices to do it, there is no limit to how good you can be.
