Why in the world would you hope for that? And they say stock market and real estate is a bubble about to burst. Let's hope cue prices burst as well.
Then you have been extremely lucky.ive had my basic two piece, looking house wood cue, in my car constantly for over 50 years and still perfectly straight, thru 120 degrees humid and dry and minus 30 cold for periods of time. and may have won more money over time than any other single cue ever.
I went back to wood after using CF for almost 2 years after coming back to this game. Nothing against CF, it allowed me to envision deflection and other terms I was hearing that weren't mainstream when I stopped playing. My plain Jane cocabola andy gibert cured me of graphite it's. His standard shaft hits as well as any of my 3 graphite. In fact, it hits better . Feels better. I play better with it.
And don't forget: high end collectibles are not for poor people!Everything is cyclical. Markets fluctuate. Prices are the cure for prices. With pool cues, it's a tough call. Will there always be a niche market for high end cues? Probably. My guess is that as the generations of folks who appreciate high end cues pass on, that market will potentially shrink. As younger folks with less disposable income become the norm, they will likely trend towards the players type cues, carbon fiber, etc. Anyone's guess, and I could be wrong.

Who made that sneaky??Then you have been extremely lucky.
Apparently Jesus.Who made that sneaky??
A great man recently typed:Listen, I hear ya talking and that sir is your right to cue collecting. There are many out there tho that feel 5K to 25K for a cue is not a problem and will pay that OR more for the right one.
Lucky bastard!!I feel very fortunate that my neighbors have laying hens and will occasionally knock on the door with a carton or two.![]()
What?? Did chickens unionize and go on strike or what??I'm heading to the store today. Been waiting for trump to save us from high egg prices. Promises made.
Wrong thread.Apparently Jesus.![]()
Said a "once" great man.And don't forget: high end collectibles are not for poor people!
Seen it lived it felt it. 401K's were turned into 201K's over night. 2008-2011 was brutal in the real market for some and a God sent for others. Prices dropped considerably. Depending on when you bought and were you gonna live in it or flip decided if you won or lost. And they say stock market and real estate is a bubble about to burst. Let's hope cue prices burst as well.
Go in peace my son.Wrong thread.![]()
not really its old seasoned wood. i have 3 cars in the same type of conditions that have cues from over 40 years in a car and none show any sign of damage. Then you have been extremely lucky.
Thank you. I've certainly been called a lot worse.Lucky bastard!!![]()
Probably because they can no longer find 40 year old wood.not really its old seasoned wood. i have 3 cars in the same type of conditions that have cues from over 40 years in a car and none show any sign of damage.
makers dont season their wood for years like old time makers did.
