I noticed last week that insidepool did a live stream through YouTube. Does anyone know if YouTube is now providing free streaming like Ustream or if this is a pay feature, something new?
Thanks dub. Those are actually uploaded videos though. I was referring to the actual live streaming. I didn't think YouTube did it and looked like something new. As I was watching the insidepool event on stream they had mentioned it was the 1st pool live event done at YouTube.
That only refers to videos they have uploaded though.
I think live streaming through youtube is only available for certain people as of right now.
I believe that within the next few months the ability to live stream through youtube will be available for everyone and it will be free like ustream, blogtv, etc.
I am looking forward to using the Youtube live streaming, Ustream is good no matter the troubles that sometimes occur but I think Youtube will have better support and also better exposure for streams along with less troubles. I just hope they have lots of software goodies from Youtube for the streaming.
I was thinking the same Lenny. However the only flaw I see as I am currently checking out a live stream coverage of that Casey Anthony trial is it has a live chat/blog type of program which will allow harassers like you was encountering to be in without actual proper moderation.
