Anyone know anything about Zebra tips? does anyone sell them or do you have to make them yourself?
I don't want to be reading the morning news about some guy caught trying to steal a zebra from the zoo, because he thought they made good tips.Anyone know anything about Zebra tips? does anyone sell them or do you have to make them yourself?

Haha, sorry i shouldve specified, I heard they were used from splicing together layers of an Everest tip and a Sniper, hence the Zebra name with the white and dark...

That seems really labor intensive.. what's the trick?
The trick is to alternate the different types of leather (boar hide for sniper, pig leather for everest) before it gets glued and vaculam'd.
Heres a video of how Tiger Tips are made:

Just imagine it being made with alternating Sniper and Everest Layers before they're glued.

Yah I dont understand why they dont do this more often and sell them
I'm not sure why anyone would want to do this. As the tip wears, a different layer is going to be contacting the cue ball. Wouldn't each layer produce a different feel on the cue ball? I can't see how a tip like this would be consistent.
