Zimmerman Custom Cues

I was watching this youtube video pool match (Justin Hall vs Tommy Kennedy), and at 12:31 in the video, they cut to ad add of Zimmerman Custom Cues featuring an offer for a full spice sneaky pete made to your specs (choice of the woods of the forearm and butt) for a starting price of $225.

I just think that is a really good deal for a brand new full splice sneaky pete with the forearm and butt woods made to your specs. I know what my choice of woods would be (probably Bocote butt with a birds eye or curly maple forearm). Seems like an a really great deal for $225. I do not know anything about Zimmerman cues, but the sneaky pete pictured in that add looked really nice.

Are you completely sure that it is not "Your" choice of woods, but choice of what woods he has in stock to make the Sneakys with.

In that case, I will take a Brazilian Rosewood butt with a highly figured Curly Maple front.

See what I'm getting at here Bud cause for $225. the front wouldn't have much curl or eyes in it.

I was just reading from the add, and yes, that would be my choice of woods (if I wanted a custom sneaky pete built to my specs). The add noted "starting at $225", so I have no idea what wood options I could get for $225. Maybe it would cost a lot more then $225 with highly figured anything in the forearm of the custom order. Maybe all I could get for $225 would be Bocote with a plain straight grain maple forearm. I do not know. Anyways, I just thought that $225 seemed cheap for a custom made full splice sneaky pete (where the customer would be able to choose what woods they would like for both the butt and the forearm of the cue). I imagine that $300 or more (depending on the cue maker) would be the average price for a sneaky pete with a Bacote butt with a highly figured birds eye maple forearm. Seems like custom made sneaky petes with a highly figured forearm are pretty pricey these days, so I just thought that $225 seemed really cheap for a new one.

Zimmerman custom cues

Before anyone speculates without actually knowing. Mike is a stand up guy! Know him personally, was stationed in Germany with him. If you are interested in buying a cue then call Mike Zimmerman of Zimmerman Custom Cues. Otherwise anyone else trying to answer this question doesn't make much sense to me.

Blu Hog ridr, unless you ordered a cue and it wasn't what you and cue maker agreed upon. Put your money where your mouth is give Mike a call order the cue, just my .02!
