Someone told me that if a CB hits the OB and the OB slow rolls to the pocket without hitting a rail, but crosses the imaginary "rail line" it is not a foul, any truth to this?
Personally, I would call foul, but I could be wrong...
i grew up feeling if something wasn't on the line, meaning reward for good and pain for bad it want a contest. and wasn't worth putting all your effort into it.
as the result was meaningless. except for ego satisfaction. whatever that is for some.
My Grandpa ran a small Brewery in Appleton, Wisconsin.
At 10, I worked part time that summer sweeping up around the brewery.
Across the street was a small tavern owned by Bob and Ellen Bleier, parents of Rocky Bleier, of Pittsburg Steelers fame.
After work, to my mother's great distress, grandpa would take me over to Bliers and we'd play a few games of pool and have a beer. Back then, if your grandpa said it was ok, they'd give you "a little beer for a little guy"...
That was the first place I ever shot pool and drank a beer in a bar. You don't forget memories like that!

Yes I am one of those culprits..... and the cue ball direction off the first ball was too obvious.
Now if he would of spin cut the 8 ball then it could of easily been a good hit.
If this was an European ref then they are still learning about the larger ball interactions.
Wonder how they'd do in 3 cushion.
most european refs have pool background only, as have most european players. snooker is mainly a UK thing. i don't know where this ref was from, but predator do use a lot of EPBF refs nowadays (eurotour, pool, american sized balls) but also american refs
