Ultimate Pool - Florida Open

Unfortunately, I have family events that prevented me from attending this one. Good luck, sir! I'll be rooting for you.
I'll need all the luck I can get! My partner and I drew Chris Melling and Sofia Mast in the first round of the pairs. They were my pick to win after the player's list came out. And I drew Tom Cousins (IMO the best 8-baller alive) in the first round of the shootout. My group stage is also filled with much more talent than I had hoped, but I think I'm playing good right now. We'll hope for some good breaks and some better rolls! :sneaky:

Ultimate Pool - Florida Open

The Florida Open starts Thursday, May 7th at 12:00 noon EST! This is arguably the most stacked field they've compiled yet. Both the Open and the Women's Open have a ton of big names, so the mixed pairs is also going to be tough! If you want to check out the players lists, visit their Facebook Page (Ultimate Pool USA). Very much looking forward to playing and watching all the great pool! Anyone else going to be there? I attached their broadcast schedule if anyone is interested.

Friendly Challenge

A related proposition I've mentioned before that is in Willie Jopling's booklet is to pocket six balls in six shots. The proposer calls the order. It is much harder than it looks. Note the exact positions of the balls. You are not allowed to pocket two balls on one shot.

The prop I've seen is the same, but with an additional ball placed in the center of the table.

The shooter shoots his first shot, then the proposer chooses each subsequent shot. One ball at a time, no jumps, and touching the center ball is a loss.

Recent purchase

I recently purchased a older cue and case . Not sure what I have. Could you check these pictures out and share your thoughts. This is a suede case, popular in the 60-70 era, again I'm not sure. It has some markings similar to a Balabushka. The leather wrap for instance that he put on per customer request and some other markings on butt and shaft. I did not buy this for collectors item, just wanted to start back playing again. I had sold my Meccui that I played with for thirty years, but had some of sons friends that wanted me teach them to play, so I bought this cue, I'm 79 to old to invest in expensive cues, as we say down south, just piddling. Thanks in advance for your time.
