Dominant eye?

You most nearly hit upon what I am thinking. First off, I am right-handed. And my dominant eye is the right. But when I get down into my stance, I feel like I have a tendency to lean right. This throws everything off. It seems like my body never really gets over the shot and settles in. It is not hard to imagine that this adds a persistent force that has a tendency to push against the shot alignment. You can never relax. You have to always deal with it, even subconsciously.
If you know where the eye must be placed, then you can figure out the optimal stance that provides this consistent perfect eye placement for you.

Here's a good example of the inconsistency of by the book logic. All these easy to correct calibrations result in a different equation; not guaranteed to be that no brainer dead stroke. Make sense?

Sneak-Peek, Half-CaF Shaft

I love seeing you guys innovate and try new things. I haven't played enough in past few years to give the carbon fiber trend a try, but I see no real downside to it. And this looks like it could blend the best of both worlds. If the answer to this question is proprietary or whatever I completely understand, but how far into the carbon fiber does the wood part of the shaft extend?
If you wish to send me a message I'll respond with my phone number and happily discuss my process with you.........within reason, of course. I welcome anyone's opinions with what I'm trying to do. Please read my response further on in the forum.

Dominant eye?

I am not sure which eye Shaw is dominant with, but he has an elongated arm and a contortion to his stance. That is kind of how I feel when playing left handed, though on observation, my body looks almost the same as right handed. It's why I think part of it is mental/familiarity.

It's not the end of the world, just take little steps to work on. I think sometimes we overthink things, and it distracts from the primary objective of putting the ball in the hole. No one is perfect. What is perfect? We can learn to adjust what we have into something better :)
You should be able to see which is the dominant eye used by these top players in Accu-Stats videos when the camera looks right up into the cue stick alignment or nearly so. This eye will most probably positioned directly above the cue stick.

If you know where the eye must be placed, then you can figure out the optimal stance that provides this consistent perfect eye placement for you.

What is the reason behind your collection?

My "original" cues are cues that I had made or bought with customized specs that I used for decades and never strayed from.

Over the years, I have had cues made just for the hell of it to test them out and I have kept some and sold others. I also have bought cues second-hand that I have tried and liked and was given a chance to buy at prices that could not be refused.

All of the cues I currently have are great-hitting cues (to me) that are in excellent shape and are a mixture of name-brand production cues or customs made by well-known makers. All of them play good or I wouldn't have kept them.

None of my cues are "fancy" and I am not particularly attracted to cues with a lot of unnatural characteristics or "bling" (i.e., wild colors, gaudy logos, multiple inlays, etc.). I prefer cues that have more of an old-school look and that have nice-looking and playing woods.

I consider all of my cues as "playing" cues. I don't consider cues as "art". The "art" is in how well they play.

Ultimate Pool $

People in my city really like it so I think it could take off but time will tell. A lot of people are saying they like it more than APA and a lot of people in APA are saying they’re going to UPL. and I don’t plan either one so my opinion is unbiased.
I played in 2 sessions.

Slop anything including the 8 ball bites, but as you saw with the GN finals, at the level it takes to get to the finals, slop doesn't rear its head.
