Getting casino betting back and new sponsorships

yep you couldn't bet on me with my opponent. few on the rail would ever bet against me so that was the only person you would be able to get down with.
only once, my opponent insisted on taking a bet with the rail instead of betting more with me. and said this way he wins more. so i told the rail guy i would lose every game until he pulled up.
he lasted two games with me missing every shot by a mile. then i busted my guy and got the other guys two bets as well.

Man, that is some absolute stone-cold hustler behavior! Taking two deliberate dives just to snap the rail guy’s spirit and then sweeping all three bets is pure villain energy in the best way possible.

ok. i didn't know that WPBA had a junior program and invested in and developed sofia mast..

if true i have a bigger understanding for their rule, but it's still too draconic imo. maybe the rule should be they must have WPBA beside their name when competing in ultimate pool, or something like that. i see all stick no carrot here

If WPBA are investing and developing young female players, it doesn't seem fair that another promoter can then use them without paying a sanctioning fee.

I think the WNT need to take a similar policy with Ultimate Pool.

We don't need crappy bar box pool in the USA.

We need more 9ft players with proper strokes, so we can compete and win Mosconi.

A friend and I recently had a discussion regarding the younger generations propensity for things such as unnatural colored hair dyes, piercings of all sorts, and that there doesn’t seem to be more than a small percentage of them that doesn’t have at least 1 tattoo, and that most of them are covered with them. Wouldn’t it be faster, and cheaper, and easier to just have a custom T shirt made that says “MOMMY AND DADDY DIDN'T LOVE ME ENOUGH, PLEASE LOOK AT ME”?

on the faster tables of today you can break them open more with a lesser speed stroke. so one open racks scattered more, and gives you less chances of having getting tied up later on.

old humid tables many times just grabbed the cue ball and didnt scatter them and left you not many options..

the best were able to get around that but a lesser player, say one that cannot run over 100 balls would get in more trouble.

I have watched every Matchroom major since 2022 and most big Predator events. I cannot recall seeing such a boisterous reaction to the sequence in question at any of those events.

I am sure it has happened at other pool events going way back. Or maybe the Mosconi. But not in the WNT era.

Yeah it was pretty loud. I was playing around the corner when it happened. I agree with you, I've never heard a crowd that boisterous in reaction.

All the tables in there are 4.25" and they play more like 4 1/8.

Kielwood Snooker Shafts?

This doesn’t shock me, given how traditional most snooker players are with regard to their cues (great majority using ash, a few maple and only one pro I’ve ever seen try CF). Based on what I’ve seen about Kielwood shafts, it *should* be lower deflection than maple - not sure about vs ash.

That said, these are guesses, and I figured I would ask here to see if anyone had tried it.

Pearwood used to be common, my grandfather had one. Have also seen purple heart, but not really on a pro level.
Ash and Maple are really the standard - I imagine this rise to the top was primarily based on quality to price ratio
Carbon is a gimmick, as it is in pool. Not sure snooker is, or ever will be, truly ready for that.
