hi,

I need ideas for a wood handle. Custom cue will have Curly maple forearm and Curly maple Butt with A,B,C,D,E silver rings

I thinked in zebrawood or bocote for handle but I dont sure....Any beutiful idea?

cue handle

like your idea of bacote. I'd but bacote in the forearm and buttsleeve and curly maple in the handle.

I'm working on one now that is birdseye maple front ,bloodwood handle ,and birdseye butt, ... looks nice.... Just a thought...:D
 
how about a stained purpleheart handle :) Ive heard that they give good feedback as handles

Go to my web site & look at cue #10. That is a cue I made for myself & have been playing with for about 7 years. It weighs 20 1/4 oz. with no weight added. The balance point is 18" from the end of the butt cap. If you wanted it slightly lighter you could core 3-4 inches of each end of the handle with maple...JER
 
well..i like the combination of purpleheart at the forearm though, lol, maybe its just me. Just like the clean look that they gives.
 
How about padauk, indian tamarin, spalted maple, or a nice cored burl? :thumbup: If there are points in the forearm that will make a difference.

I did one like that, I choose bacote over zebra wood every time, I just don't like zebra wood, sorry but Bacote is great to work with, Just a note, I hope you coring the curly maple.

How about a nicely figured piece of cocobolo?
 
Zebrawood handle

Here's one I made with a Zebrawood handle to give you an idea how it would look. I like the contrast with the darker wood I used for the forearm and butt sleeve. I (personally) don't think I'd like it with Curly Maple.
