anyone use one? how do they hit and feel?

i actually ran into one of these locally. i didn't get to hit balls with it but the cue looked well built and the shaft wood used looked top notch. the only problem i saw with the cue was the strange pin used with the wood threads of the shaft.
i think it was a 5-16/14 but it had wood threads. it seemed real easy to cross thread
I have a chance to buy a couple of these for what I believe is a pretty reasonable price, but I just wanted some opinions. I talked to the local pool cue maker tonight, and he agreed that he did not like their pins, but said they were good hitting cues. any other opinions out there?

The threads in the shaft are not wood they are like a G10 material that is super strong. Jackson has been around for a long time, I started buying cues in the early 1990's. Great people to work with, never any problems. Top bar box player Rory Hendrickson from Fargo ND has been using one since 1994, wont use any other cue.

I have hit with one, but never owned on. The hit to me was similar to that of the pro line Mcdermotts.
That joint you spoke of isn't a standard one for them. It might have been a special order or after market. They are Wisconsin boys, just like Pechauer, Schon, Jacoby, Mcdermott,
They probably all learned from the same person either directly or indirect.

Yes, I agree the folks at Jackson Cue are great people to work with. I bought my one of a kind Jackson Cue from the nicest man in the business, Jim Oswald from Billiards n' Bagels. Not only is the craftmanship top notch—the cue hits better than anything I've ever played with.

I see many in the Wisconsin area. They look great. Never hit with one, but the people who use them have always spoke very highly of them. Many players in my league take their cues to get serviced there.
