I have decided to jump into the performance shaft market....I like a 12.5 schon shaft more than anything so far...always have played with such. I have hit with a few predator shafts and like the extra spin it applies and I have also hit with a tiger shaft on a mcd and liked it ok. I like a stiff hit and I havn't got the 314's weird spin down. I go to cut balls and it dosn't come out right..........I am used to appling spin and changing the angle to compensate for that.......please I need some opinons on what everyone out there thinks and how sucsessfull you have been with your choices. And also if anyone has any good deals on any of these shafts for sale please pm me and let me know......thanks:ok:

From your description, it sounds like you want an OB2.

Next.

i used to use an i2 shaft with a sniper tip. then went to a tiger ultra x with a sniper tip. These two shafts shoot similar, at least getting used to one over the other isnt a big deal. Now i have an 0b-2 with kamui black which is outstanding. The feedback with the kamui over the sniper is tremendous, no more mush feeling. The kamui and ob2 combo makes for some ridiculous cb action.. I'm still having a hard time adjusting to the additional cb spin with the same stroke and the lower deflection of the ob2. I have to shoot softer and cut down on the angles to achieve the same results with the shafts above.

i thought the ob2 was pretty much the answer to the z shafts 11.75. the ob1 and 314 shafts have the same amount of deflection pretty much so it didnt take me long to switch to the ob. i like the ob more

I hit with a "really solid" ob1 shaft tonight and also with an ob2.. They still felt differnet than the schon but a buddy of mine setup a shot where you set the object ball near the spot and cue ball at the first and second diamond.....you aim with no spin and then without moving angle put extrem right english......I made it twice at warp speed with authority...I like the ob1 I shot with better....I think with a little time I might grow to like it.......I have never heard of the mezz shaft......where can I find it?

I seen in a lot of postings on here that the the ob shafts are whippy and it doesn't offer a solid hit. I am getting mixed opinions on this shaft. A master level instructor certified by the BCA told me that the tiger shafts has lower deflection than the predator. Is this true?

Some people have complained about whippyness with the OB-1, some I believe say it isn't whippy. I don't believe anyone has said that about the OB-2 though, as the taper has made it notably stiffer than the OB-1.

I had heard the opposite about the tiger shafts

NOPE.

Tiger doesn't even claim to make LD shafts, they say they make high performance shafts.

I've played with all the shafts listed here.
The 314's hit hard, dead hard to me. Not enough feeling to me.
The ob1 doesn't hit hard, but not soft either. It feels great to me.
The ob2 is on it's way back to a hard feel, but not as hard as a Z shaft.
The tiger ultra feel really good to me as well, however it creates too much cue ball deflection then i'm use to.

All in all the ob shafts are at the top of my list.

I love the 314/Joss setup! It is what I think I will always enjoy playin with! I have several cues, Gilbert, Rick Howard, Gulyassy and I really love all of their cues but I find myself going back to the simple set-up of a Joss Butt with a 314 shaft! Hope this helps! I like a hard hit with a Stainless steel joint too!
