Well, her anticipated re-match never happened last night. Instead, one of her backers,
Herman (yes Jay, she does use backers at times) played one of the Puerto Ricans
(Guemo's backer). The Puerto Rican's came out ahead about 6-8 dimes. Now it sounds as
if they are going to play tonight what would have been played last night, same race, same
cheese. I hear that the Puerto Rican's are ready to up the bet if J L will go for it. Sounds
like they're ready to bet large, REAL large. I understand that they have bet 50 dimes on
cock fights in P.R. so why not on pool? There may be one hitch though. The Puerto
Rican's are leery of the circus like atmosphere surrounding this match. They are talking
about taking this to an out side room. One room mentioned was Jose Garcia's in Vineland
NJ. It's a little over an hour away and he has a private Tournament room in the back. It's a
beautiful remodeled room by the way. I'll have to drive back home if they play there as
it's in my back yard!
 
Correction

"Herman" in my original post is one of Guemo's backers, not Jeanette's. Herman played "John"

If I were there with them I would have advised them to take it out of the Expo. Jose Garcia's place would be just perfect (in the back room of course).
 
People can do what they want then they match up but if I were Jeanette then I would want to keep it right there at the Expo so the fans could sweat it. If she moves it to their playground then she should negotiate a spot for going to their place on their table.

I was thinking along the lines of Watchez's post about not playing foreigners, just thinking about how easy it would be to sneak a really unknown Filipino in on people at a place like VF by having pose as a Puerto Rican or other South American nationality. Put a TAP shirt on the guy and he'd be printing money all weekend! :-)

I tend to agree with you, John. With so many people there, nobody would dare try any funny business. I think the Puerto Rican contingency is safe there.

However, Jose Garcia is a stand-up guy, and maybe if it happens at his pool room, there will be a safety feature aspect to this venue.

Either way, sounds like a great match-up! :smile:

There are enough people around here that speak Spanish, I think the cat would be out of the bag real quick. I think very few filipinos speak Spanish these days.
 
Okay, here's the skinny. I got it from a pretty reliable source. :thumbup:

A Puerto Rican player played Breedlove and lost 2 dimes.

Then the Puerto Rico player asked for weight and was turned down. ;)

Instead Breedlove offered the Puerto Rican player to play his wife. :eek:

The Puerto Rico player was ahead 5-3 in the match when the Puerto Rico contnigency offered to even the score at 5 for 2 dimes and play a race to 21 for double the original amount ($6,000).

The Puerto Rican player won 21-8 for 12 dimes. George Breedlove's wife only could put up three more games against the Puerto Rico player at that particular time.

The Breedlove contingency offered the Puerto Rican player to play next day for 20 dimes, but 10-Ball instead of 9-Ball. The offer was accepted but never came to be, at least as of the time of this writing.

I want to thank the little birdie who fed this action smut to me! :cool:
