Check Out The First Cue I Finished

Here is the first of many cues I plan to build. This cue has a birds eye maple forearm and a purple heart but sleeve. 19.2 oz with a .25oz weight bolt. I am not sold on the cork wrap I think it will get a leather wrap. Cue has stainless joint 5/16 14 pin. This cue was made off of an old Tad taper. The picture makes the wrap look funny in the first pic sorry about that.

I've never seen a cork wrap before. Not a fan. Try the leather :)

Otherwise looks playable for your first try. Can't wait to see more!

That is a nice looking first try. I suspect very few cue makers would care to post pictures of their first effort! :grin:

I will rewrap with leather and put a final buff on her. I will take good pic when done. I only get good pics outside I quess better light thanks for all the kind words. She hitts like the Tad GOOD!!!!

The top picture looks like the wrap wasn't sanded down evenly with the cue, like it is swollen slightly. Anyway, I believe cork really feels good when on a cue. That there is the natural look of cork. You could try staining it black and it would really change the appearance of the cue. As has been said, nice looking cue for a first try.
