Why does the T-Rex arrest come as a shock?

Shall we go down the list of pool players (famous or otherwise) who have done Federal time for transporting large amounts of pot? Let's see California to Detroit quite frequently hmmmmm naw that's too obvious.

At one time there were so many good pool players locked up that you couldn't even get table time, cause the guy playing was running racks.

I'm not surprised in the least.
 
Why The Shock?

Because the pool world gets another black eye and a great talent is taken away from us for a long time.

He will not be the only one who suffers. His family and friends will miss him, and what have they done to deserve it?

And no, I'm not defending what he did.

I agree with what you said here except he wasn't taken from us, he chose to leave for whatever amount of time he gets for breaking the law. I feel bad for his family and the position he chose to put them in. They don't deserve any of it.

i remember about 2 years ago tony came through the southeast playing pool. he was riding with angry white, so i doubt this is his first exposure to "the life". maybe they will share a cell together.
 
I do not speak from experience as being in prison, however, my family works (for a company) helping people who are arrested Federally with obtaining counsel because most of the time all of their assets are seized and they have no one and don't know what to expect.

I also have worked and still do dabble in mitigation for Defendants in Federal cases, so I have read plenty of reports and information on how things go down.

It doesn't appear Tony is being charged Federally, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't swoop in and take over.
