I know I can play well, and once I'm thoroughly warmed up and tell myself "Enough playing around, let's shoot some pool" I do quite well. The problem is, I have a tough time getting to that mental stage lately. I've had so much going on lately that my mental game just isn't there.
For some reason I've been over analyzing myself lately. This from the guy who's given a few lessons...I'm not really sure why and when I stop doing that and just PLAY, then I do quite well. That is, of course, until I realize I'm doing well and try to analyze my mental game, then I'm back to square one.
Oddly, with all the stress I've had lately, I feel like I've dropped in my level of play quite considerably. What should I do? I know I'm not the only one who deals with this situation, what's worked for you?
