Funny Earl/Corey story

This came form a buddy of mine who witnessed it at this past years U.S. Open....
The match came down to hill-hill and Corey was checking all of Earls racks.
Corey kept making Earl rerack em and rerackem...By this time Earl is fuming!
So the final rack came up and Earl just threw em in the rack not seeing if they were touching or anything.... So Corey of course came over and said "hey earl i believe the 1 fell off." So Earl said, " You're a damn lie! That's the way i racked em! " LOL!!!

Years ago, I watched Corey and Earl play in the U.S. Open (I think). The ref was racking and Corey was soft breaking and making a ball just about everytime. Earl b!tched and b!tched and b!tched . Finally, Earl broke down and quit.

The rest is history...that was the straw that broke the Camel Tour's back!

P.S. Earl owes me my entry fee back!

You might be thinking of the event at Romine's in Milwaukee. Earl broke down his cue & put his jacket on when Corey was running over him with the soft break. Earl tried to screw his cue back together, but he was informed that he had already forfeited.

Corey did torture Earl in a similar manner at the 2001 US Open though.

One year Earl was at the BCA trade show in Vegas doing some trick shots. Afterward in front of a large crowd he asked if anyone had any questions. I couldn't help myself...I asked "hey Earl, how come that Cuetec has no Cuetec shaft...the wood has turned blue." He then told me some rather vulgar things about my mother that to this day I don't think are true.

Yes, it was at Romine's in Milwaukee. Wasn't that the US Open? Definitely part of the Camel Tour.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Earl Strickland... always the sportsman and a wonderful representative for the sport of pocket billiards! Earl is the very first player on my "Sponsored by Kleenex" list! LOL

I watched that match. Earl was up like 6 to 1 when Corey started to have some fun at Earl's expense. Lets see hear, Earl threw the rack and smashed the racked balls. He was told not to wear his ear muffs. It was hilarious and very entertaining. The photographer wouldn't take a picture unless Barry B was around. Probably scared he would've been speared with a cue.
Corey did make an awesome jump shot in that match. He was stuck behind the 5 I think about a ball width or less away, can't remember which ball he was on though. It was right next to the blocking ball on the short rail with the 9 about 2 balls width from the ob. He jumps the blocking ball clips the ob in between it and the 9 and pockets the 9. Pretty sweet shot.
