Hi,

So I'm having a custom cue made. It's in progress. I ordered a Z2 partial and was told that the Z2 decal was damaged so it could not be installed. Thus, my finished shaft will be, unmistakeably, a Z2 but it won't have to logo on it. Now I was just speaking with a friend of mine and he said that I better be careful with it. He says that should anything happen to the shaft, Predator will not warranty it since it's missing the logo. Is this true?

Thanks

Uhh... You're replying 'yes' to the fact that they WILL NOT warranty it?

Cause that sucks... It's not like you can't recognize a predator shaft. For whatever reason the logo cannot be installed. I'm pretty sure a defective/broken logo that comes with a partial shaft ordered through a predator dealer falls under manufacturer defect, no? I mean, I take care of all my stuff but who knows what will happen :(

The maker should contact Predator and get a new logo.

I convert a lot of Predator partials and every time I order the blanks a number of extra decals come with them. If you need more just call them and they will send them. Your cue maker should be aware of this.

opps I just realized what i said , and the answer is NO , You must forgive me I just came home from a local bar tourny and my eyes are heavy as hell right know and I guess a bit tired as well , I knew the answer to his question and I wrote the wrong thing I'm sorry .

Ok, I'm going to have to wait a little longer to get a new logo. But thanks for clearing this up for me!

They pretty much take it on a case by case basis, at least they did when I worked there. If it's obviously a manufacturer defect and not something done after the fact or in the installation of the joint, then they will honor the warranty.

But like everyone said it's easy to get more decals and have your cuemaker install it and spray a couple of layers of finish to seal them in. Some cuemakers don't like installing the logos for some reason, but you should be adamant to ensure your warranty is in place.

Most definitely. I mean, it's not difficult to pick out a predator just by looking. Either way, I agree, as long as my warranty is guarenteed, I don't think it matters much to me~ My cuemaker called predator and they are willing to send a new logo. It'll add extra time to my delivery date but that's a fair trade to be safe and sound.
