Yah this is unfortunate. Kim tries to schedule around other events as the Fast Eddies, and her own WPBA events and even around the OB Cues Ladies 9-ball Tour or other larger out-of-town events, making dates limited. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

As far as i know, there will be no live streaming. Just plan'ol fashion good pool!!!:grin:

Last time it paid over $7,000 for first if im correct. My first round was against Rodney Morris.:frown:

Im not fired... atleast i didnt put 2 same names on the bracket and one guy was waiting forever to be called on... Danny. UR FIRED!!!
 
is anyone else annoyed when it says something like 7000 was paid to first but truly first only got like 1500 and the rest of the money was from calcuttas and that money went to whoever bid on the winner lol....not just this tournament alot of great tournaments say things like this..... i have nothing against who got paid what but dont make it sound like 1st place got paid 7000... JMO

Wasn't there a fued between Shannon Daulton of the GSBT and Mike from The Viking 9 Ball Tour (Before he got banned). I think there were accusations made of inflated payout info due to what you're saying.

It is misleading

Just out of curiosity I went back and checked the 1st place payouts at the last 2 Classics, and you are correct. Their July 08 Tourney paid out 7450.00 to 1st pl and their December 08 tourney paid out 3950.00 to 1st pl. And yes, the majority of this money came from the calcutta. As it usually does with any tournament. :wink:

Actually, Even though many of us would like to play in both events, It looks like BOTH events will have great turn outs!!

Sometimes it's hard to imagine that there are 1,000's of pool players in Houston alone!! Then when you add in all the Tournament road groupies, like myself, who make as many events as humanly possible:o,!!

Kim obviously runs a great tournament and "advanced players meeting" ;). Bogies is one of my favorite rooms!! Their tables are always in great condition. I'm looking forward to this weekend!!

I am orginaly from the Houston area but have never gotten to play in any good events while in town visiting family. I do come in and gamble with Billy S. every time I roll through. I always have a good time matching up with him.

Both the Tournament money and the "players meeting" money was paid out to first place? Whatever the arrangement was between the player and the buyer is between them. I always tell people....if you came to play, buy yourself! I admire players that figure the odds and decide what their best deal is!

Personally I really like the opportunity that the players meeting brings to the tournament. If the person running the players meeting is good, it makes for a very interesting event!
