Now, you know good and well that two heavyset guys like that would tire out after thirty minutes. Who are those unknown guys any way? I mean, somebody like Buddy Hall would torture those two.

Here's one of my favorite North Carolinians, and I think he was at that same tournament too. :p

Charlie is always the life of the party! :grin-square:

My guess is the editor of the year award goes to.....YOU!! I'd rep you for making this thread good for me but AZ just won't let me.

Oh my God, Charlie might be the funniest dudes alive. Good pic. I once bought him a hotdog at a tourney, and he said, "That's so much better than the bar of soap I had at the hotel last night."

Two American pool legends for sure! :)

Another of my favorite North Carolinians on the left, clowning around with Alex Pagulayan. This is Michael Coltrain, a real Southern sweetie! :p

Thanks for the kind words. They mean more to me than rep. That rep ain't all what it's cracked up to be, though I am beginning to believe some folks can't live without it! :grin-square:

I always loved this picture of Johnny Archer. He looked so happy in those days, newly married, a bouncing baby boy, and a lovely wife who adored him. :)

The Train was my "little cousin" for quite a while. Naturally God gifted. Scary in stroke. Johnny revisited minus the eight. Mini-Johnny.

Another picture from the same Carolinas Open of probably the most famous Carolinian of them all. When you're known by one word, you know you've hit success.

Just like "Willie," we all know who "Earl" is. ;)

Earl looks so studly with the sleeves rolled up.

Great pics!

I love the pics and the memories they bring back. My time in N.C. was only a few years, but those years were filled with events that I never want to forget. Keep 'em comin' until your tired of postin'!

Earl didn't pool the guns out on Keith for the pic did he, only time I ever seen Earl roll up his sleeves like that, his opponent didn't get to shoot after that....oh the days of winner break!

That was a great article. Perfect length. Made me wish I was there. Great job Mr. McCready. Would love to hear more.

I don't believe it for a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!

I happened to run across this picture which was posted on this forum in the past.

This is Keith McCready and "Big Jerry," the breaker referred to in that article, I think. :grin-square:

That's Jack and the giant ...........................

from Jack and the beanstalk.;)

Thanks for sharing all the great pix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! He was so sick at that tournament. He had just gotten off the plane from being at a tournament in Europe, and then his kidney stones flared up. He had to go to the hospital. He still played his matches, but he was really suffering, poor fellow!

Diana is going to kick my butt for posting this picture of her posing with another North Carolinian. Diana, you have to admit your hair looks GREAT in this picture, aside from that object going toward your right ear! :o

Tony Watson won the Louie Roberts A&E Award at the DCC and has a lifetime free entry. :)

Is Sparky still living in North Carolina? Another pic taken at this tournament at Fast Eddie's. They were giving out free T-shirts at the tournament, and you know I had to snatch me one! :)

I said it once.....

and I will say it again. No longer having Keith's stories in IP is the sole reason I gave up my subscription.

I really enjoyed reading them....

Still waiting for the Keither comeback...................not just writing but most importantly playing!!!!!!!!
