This was funny to me....dont know why

I won a pretty big tourny this friday and saturday and on sunday there is a bar close by that has a really good tourney every sunday. There is usually 22 or so players in it and and 1st pays 500.00. I have won this tourny 4-5x in the past cpl months. Its a pretty fun tourney and I know alot of the people that play in it....

I was playing 8ball against a guy and he lost, we were playing for 20.00 a rack. I had played 7 people before this guy got up and had won...this man had been watching the whole time.......this guy gets up to play next....and he says 150....everyone said I had a huge smile go across my face and I said, you want to play for 150 a game...he said Yes.......I said, 150.00 a game....he said no, 1.50....I just about fell out.....Everyone said I had that Deer in the headlights look on my face...I asked again....1.50..he said yes....well, needless to say I was absolutely in shock the whole game and lost with 2 of my balls left on the table....I paid the man his 1.50 and sat down...That just threw me off so bad because we had been playing for 20 a rack for like 2hrs and I hadnt lost and he gets up and wants to play for 1.50.......when I left that night after winning the tourney..I had a 26 mile drive back home..I think I laughed 25 of them miles...It was just funny to me....Sorry for wasting a thread just for this..lol

That's great.

I was in West Virginia once, Phillippi to be exact. I stopped in the poolroom and saw a ring game goin' on. I asked if I could get in. "Yep, 25 a man." I thought wow, how lucky to fall into this. Anyway you know where this is going. They miss the two ball and I got out. They threw quarters on the table. I thought they were screwing with me, but the bartender said, "Nope, they do this every Saturday." Yeeha!

That's gonna make a sweet hustling story to tell his grand kids about. "I once took a guy down for $1.50." I hope he had the decency to spot you a little walking around money:wink:

I asked the guy what in the world he planned on buying with that 1.50 he won from me....he said Gas......I about SHAT! seeing that gas in 1.69 a gal here :thumbup:

I had won the Okla State ACS Championship saturday...won 350.00 for it..then sat night played a efw guys and won about 1200 or so.....and this guy wants to play for 1.50...it was just funny...

Yea, he sharked me alright......beat me flat out:D

I mean, he had such an advantage on me right then...he coulda prolly beat me 100 gams straight at 1.50...he would have really been rolling then ..lol

Better is if you agree to play but only if he posts up. Imagine trying to balance quarters on the light. If you flip for break and surreptitiously pocket the quarter, you already have a nice little walking stick.
