How can you tell if a cue is a real Balabushka and not Adams production or some Asian knock off?

Part of the appeal of collecting cues is being able to tell the differences after all the research. The Internet has made access to many resources that make identifying cues much easier. Examine pictures, become familiar with the style and detail, and you'll become a first rate connoisseur in no time!
Can I get some examples of the differences?
If it says Balabushka in large flowing print under a shiny finish, it aint real.
every little bit helps - anything that gives it away that it is real?

You're welcome.. and thanks for the kind words. Obviously experience is the key, but if you have been around a while the new cues are super easy to spot. You won't find any experienced collector or dealer making a mistake on these.
