Searing Box Cue: My Daily Player

I Love Box Cues

Hi all,

I am posting below (hopefully) several pictures of my Searing box cue. It has been my daily player for the past year and a half, and I wouldn`t trade the hit for the Brooklyn Bridge (So don`t try).

I had great fun working with Dennis during the cue`s design and construction, and needless to say the cue exceeds my highest expectations. I could sell it to someone else every time I go to Shooter`s in Olathe.

I have also added a few extra pictures. Last Fall, we had a gala at our home as part of the ICCS show, and I caught a picture of Nick Varner shooting with my Searing box cue. He was playing Dennis Searing, and I won`t tell you what cue I made Dennis play with. Although Dennis can play at a level with many top pro players, Nick beat him. I blamed it on the cue!

Look in the rest of the pictures and try to pick out some of the onlookers.

Take care,

Will Prout

Great cue Will, thanks for posting this beauty.

I think I know the guy sitting behind Varner with the cap on... :D

The most perfectly constructed boxes to date from any cuemaker...

Beautiful cue.... and yes Dennis does hit the balls around pretty sporty. We have gone down to FL and played with him a couple of times. Thanks for sharing. JS

WOW that cue must have Dennis' new "mood wraps" cause Nick was so in stroke he made the wrap black!!!! :D
Nice cue Will,
it was great visiting with you and seeing all that history

icon2 (Jeff),

You are right, this cue will be with me for the duration. BTW, your cues are stellar! That Ginacue is simply unbelievable, a show stopper. If you would like to trade the Ginacue for something special (other than this Searing), pm me and we can see where it leads.

Thanks for the comments!

J$Cincy,

Thanks for the comments. I spent most of my life living in Ohio, and I know how good the Southern Ohio player contingent is! Rick Garrison moved to Kansas City in the mid 90`s, and we were teammates on the same BCA team for several years. He`s another misplaced Buckeye!

Thank you

Will,

This is a amazing cue. Dennis's work is so clean that it jumps out at you. Thanks for posting this cue for all of us to ohhh and ahhh over.

SS

Hi thepavlos!

Good to hear from you! I really like your avatar. Children are the very best part of life!;)

The wrap was meant to be the closest thing to the wraps on the old Brunswick Willie Hoppe cues. It came out better than I could have imagined.

I trust you are taking special care of the cue and case that you had at my house! See you in Santa Fe this Fall?

Take care,

Will

Hi Dean,

I haven`t spoken with you for about 2 hours!

Dennis and I spent quite a bit of time on the phone and emailing with the design, a lot of collaborative fun. Immensely enjoyable. But I luckily did zero on the construction, and I am glad because it would have hit entirely different if I had been running the equipment.

Heh, heh....

By the way, if you really are starting to like the box cue designs, come to my home. We`ll have some real fun talking through some ideas. I`ve got a few examples to look through.;)
